Submission is a fantasy many are drawn to, whether you’re the one submitting or the one being submitted to.  The Big Book of Submission is filled with 69 stories that are clever, creative, and outright sexy.  Some play into fantasies of your own, while others might surprise you.  Each story is unique, and show how many different ways submission can be interpreted.

These bite-sized stories are easy to read, well written, and can be fit into anyone’s busy life.  I tend to dive into a book and not return until it’s finished, so reading an anthology during busy times allows me to enjoy reading, and sleep.  I don’t have to wonder what’s going to happen in the next chapter, I can simply read a few stories before bed and set it aside for the next day.  The only problem with that, is how easy it is to get caught up in this book.  While it might be difficult to imagine how different 69 stories centered around the same topic can be, you’d be surprised.

In my personal life, submission is left to fantasy – but I certainly enjoy it there.  I didn’t love every single story in this book, though they all deserved to be included, but some really stood out to me and definitely stroked my imagination.  Some stories tell of new partners, old lovers, switching roles, and punishment (of course).  They’re centered around one experience, and go into such detail you can nearly smell the leather and feel your skin flush as though you’ve misbehaved.

The quality of the stories in this book is fantastic.  Even if they don’t play off your own fantasies (which at least a few will if you’re interested in submission), it’s always interesting to take a peek into the mind of the authors.  There’s a little something for everyone contained within the pages; voyeurism, same sex pairings, restraints, punishments, etc. and they’re all told from various perspectives.

If you’re looking for an anthology full of kinky short stories, this is the one to get.  Rachel Kramer Bussel never disappoints, and this is yet another book proving that point.  If submission isn’t really your taste, I highly recommend checking out The Big Book of Orgasms – same style, different focus.
