-About the C1 Rechargeable Bullet-
The C1 Rechargeable Bullet from Ovo is a pretty basic vibrator. It doesn’t boast any over the top features and is very simple to use. The straightforward design is fantastic if you’re new to sex toys or feel overwhelmed by the complicated features many products are being released with. Like all bullets, this is designed to pleasure external areas of the body such as the clitoris, nipples, and perineum. Its use is quite limited beyond that. It’s not safe for insertion and the size prevents it from fitting inside bullet cavities in dildos and other products.
Like many similar products, the C1 Rechargeable Bullet is made from ABS plastic, but the charging port also features a small ring of Silicone. Both materials are non-porous, latex free, and phthalate free. The hard plastic is easy to clean with soap and water, though you should avoid submerging it. The product is considered ‘showerproof’, which leads me to believe water may leak inside the unit if you’re not careful. If lubricant is required, a water-based type would be best. Even though the silicone area is small, it could have a negative reaction to silicone-based lubes.
The shape of the bullet isn’t anything out of the ordinary, but is slightly different than similar products. It’s sort of an elongated oval, featuring rounded points at either end. The tips allow for more focused vibration, but using the side provides broader coverage.
Bullet vibrators are often so appealing because they’re easy to conceal and are travel friendly. The C1 is certainly compact enough to keep out of site, but it’s not the most travel friendly option to consider. The buttons don’t have a locking feature, so while you can tuck it away inside your pocket or purse, if anything presses against the button for a few seconds, the vibrations will turn on. This could create a rather awkward situation, especially when you’re trying to be discreet.
The size is 4 1/2″ long and has a diameter of 7/8″ at the widest point. Most standard bullet vibrators and bullet cavities are 5/8″ wide, so naturally it’s understandable why it wouldn’t be suitable for use inside a dildo.
The C1 Rechargeable Bullet comes with a USB charging cord which plugs into the silicone tip of the toy. When it arrives, you’ll need to plug it in prior to your first use. While the toy is charging, a light will flash behind the symbols on the button. Once the toy is fully charged, the light will glow steady, indicating that it’s ready for use.
The vibrations are controlled by a silver button that features a plus and minus sign at either end. To turn the toy on, you press the plus button for approximately three seconds. The vibrations will begin on the first setting and the others can be reached by continuously pressing the plus button. If you accidentally pass the pattern you’d like to use, you can use the minus button to avoid cycling through all the patterns. That’s the only use for the minus button, which is a little confusing. When you’re ready to turn off the toy, you have to press and hold down the plus button until the vibrations cease. Seems a little backwards to me.
The lights behind the button will glow according to the setting you’re on. It pulses with the pulsing patterns, glows brighter and then softer on the roller coaster pattern, and is solid when the vibrations are steady.
There are a total of seven different settings – two steady, and the rest are patterned. There’s some variety in the patterns, so it’s unlikely you’d feel bored of them. The real issue here, is the power behind them. Even on the steady high setting, the vibrations are light and buzzy and even make your fingers tingle. The buzz is nearly numbing and might make it difficult to orgasm if you try using this toy and switch to something else. If you want a tease, it’s fine. But I have a hard time seeing how this could be deep enough for most.
The noise level is very reasonable, but that makes sense because the vibrations are so light. You wouldn’t be able to hear it through a closed door, but couldn’t get away with using it in the same room with someone else. Not to mention the light is fairly bright as well.
The C1 Rechargeable Bullet arrives in a small cardboard box with an image of the product on the front and one side. The back displays some of the key features of the toy, including the 15 year warranty. The top lifts up, and the vibe is nestled inside a piece of black foam. The packaging is very basic, but well done. It’s not discreet, but quite attractive. The included information is very minimal. The instruction guide is literally a double sided piece of paper that features illustrations of charging the toy and the patterns. It does include the warranty card and Ovo Rechargeable Product Catalog, but it would have been nice to have more information about it.
I’m always interested in checking out new brands, and Ovo was one I hadn’t tried out before. I’m also a huge fan of clitoral stimulation and prefer bullet vibes to anything else. I was very anxious to see if Ovo would impress me, and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the C1 Rechargeable Bullet.
Before turning on the toy, my first impression was positive. I thought the packaging was well done, and the vibe seemed to be decently made. However, after charging and turning the toy on, I knew this wasn’t going to be right for me.
The vibrations are extremely buzzy. I typically require deep, powerful vibrations in order to climax and I didn’t have high hopes for this one. When it came time to test, it had been a few days since my last orgasm and I was primed and ready. I turned the vibe on, placed it against my clit, and starting grinding it. The rubbing sensation paired with the vibrations did bring me to climax, but it was difficult to achieve, forced, and seriously lacking. Just because you can orgasm with something, doesn’t mean it’s worth using.
I could see this being used for teasing, but honestly, I don’t imagine many will find the vibrations are worthwhile enough to use with orgasm being the end goal. It’s well made, rechargeable, and more affordable than most if you’re on a budget, but wholly not worth it in my opinion.
After that first orgasm, I haven’t been able to achieve another with it, no matter how hard I’ve tried. Having a toy solely for nipple stimulation or teasing isn’t worth it to me. Especially with how numbing it can feel.
