If you’re interested in a somewhat realistic shaped toy that comes in beautiful, unrealistic colors, than look no further than the Cush 02!  This beautiful dildo is dual density, which means it has a firm inner core and a plush outer layer.  The design allows the toy to feel a little more like an actual penis, and provides comfort thanks to the soft surface.  The versatility of this dildo is fantastic since it can be used by just about anyone.  The size might turn some people away because it’s on the large side, but anyone who appreciates some girth to their toys will find this to be a great choice.

Cush 02 from Tantus is a gorgeous dildo that was created with pleasure in mind.  The great design allows the toy to be used in a variety of ways, which makes it sort of ‘one-size-fits-most’ when it comes to versatility.  The wonderfully formed head and texture of the shaft are surprisingly stimulating despite their simplicity, and the soft outer layer prevents the texture from being overwhelming or uncomfortable.

The base of the dildo is easy to hold while you’re thrusting, and makes the toy both anal safe and harness compatible.  No matter what gender you are or what type of relationship you’re in, there will likely be a use for this toy.  If you’re a beginner to either vaginal or anal penetration, it will be too large for you to comfortably use, but it’s wonderful for users who like a little girth to their toys.

Though it has a soft outer layer, the inner core is too rigid to be used as a packer.  The best uses for this toy include solo vaginal/anal use, strap-on sex, and pegging.  Tantus does offer two dildos that can be used for playing and packing, but the Cush 02 is best used for playing only.

Cush 02 is made from Tantus’ own blend of ultra premium silicone.  Their toys are body safe, non-porous, latex free, phthalate free, and when properly cared for, can last a lifetime.  Silicone is one of the best materials you can get since it’s totally safe to use and share.  For regular use you can clean with soap and warm water or your favorite sex toy cleaner, but you can also sterilize the toy if switching orifices or sharing with someone else.  You can use a 10% bleach solution, boil for a few minutes, or place it in your dishwasher.  Water-based lubricants work best with this material since silicone-based lubes could potentially cause the surface to degrade.

The surface of this silicone isn’t textured, so it feels smooth when you slide your fingers across it.  Though it’s smooth, it does drag across your skin and requires lubricant in order to keep things gliding with ease.  It’s also a big lint magnet.  One moment it’s totally clean, and the next you can see all kinds of particles on the surface.  For that reason, it’s important to wipe/wash your dildo before and after use.

Untitled-6The design of the toy provides a few areas of texture; the base of the head, and a ridge in the middle of the shaft.  The head is subtle enough that it stimulates without catching on your pubic bone, but the ridge might be uncomfortable to some.  Since the whole surface isn’t textured, that ridge is quite obvious, but isn’t overwhelming.  If you prefer totally smooth toys, this might not be right for you.  However, if you like some texture, it can be very stimulating.

Dual density toys are truly wonderful things!  The surface of the dildo is much softer than the core and was designed to provide a more realistic feeling.  The 02 line has a thinner outer layer than Untitled-5other dual density toys, which makes it more firm than Vixskin or Sensa Feel.  This will either be a positive or a negative depending on what your preferences are.  It’s quite easy to tell just how thick the plush layer is thanks to the colors.  The soft layer is white, and the firm core is blue.  The thicker areas are totally white, while other areas are thin enough to see the blue shine through.  The head of the toy is the squishiest area because the core doesn’t go to the tip, and the base of the toy is solid blue and is made up of the firm silicone only.

The core is quite rigid and it takes some effort to flex, though it is possible.  Since the toy isn’t curved, it doesn’t naturally bend in one direction over another.  If you’re using this dildo on someone else, either manually or in a harness, keep the rigid material in mind.  While the tip is nice and soft, the firm material within could create some discomfort if thrust too hard.

The Cush 02 is available in three gorgeous colors; Candy Pink, Purple Twilight, and Ice Blue.  The outer layer is white on each of them, but the firm core is where you’ll find the color difference.  I love how the blue breaks through the white in some areas, but not in others.  It’s a really beautiful effect.

It’s natural to see why the design of this dildo is so appealing.  It has some realistic features without actually being realistic.  It’s obvious enough that someone would easily be able to tell it’s a dildo, but it doesn’t look like a penis.  If you want a dual density toy from Tantus that does look similar to an actual penis, you can check out Mark 02, Adam 02, Luke 02, or Max 02.

The tip of the toy comes to a wonderful peak that makes it much easier to insert, especially since it’s fairly soft.  Following that you have the subtle head, the ridged texture in the center, and the awesome base on the bottom.  It doesn’t have any veins, a urethral opening, or testicles; making it a great choice for someone who’s turned off by the real thing.

The full length of the toy is 7 3/4″ with about 6 3/4″ being insertable.  The girth varies along the head and shaft, but is right around 1 3/4″ in diameter.  The girth doesn’t vary greatly other than the tip which is smaller and comes to a soft point.  Though it seems fairly thick when you look at the size, it’s not unreasonable since the outer layer is soft.  If you typically use thin toys, this won’t be right for you (especially because of the ridge in the middle of the shaft), but the Flurry 02 just might be.  It’s a little bit thinner than Cush 02, but comes in the same awesome colors.

Untitled-2The Cush 02 arrives in a (mostly) clear plastic package with the dildo in full view.  It’s not discreet considering you can see what’s inside the box and the text spells out exactly what it is.  The outside contains some information on the company and how to care for your new silicone pleasure object.  It’s generic and isn’t specific to this toy, but it doesn’t really need to be.  All of Tantus’ toys are made from top of the line silicone, so the information applies to all their products.  The package is opened from the top where a plastic sleeve is pulled out.  It only stays closed because of how well it fits inside the box, so it easily unfolds once removed.  I honestly don’t care for the packaging because it’s a little tricky to put the dildo back inside of it, and doesn’t hold up well overtime.  It’s best to find a different storage option since the package is a pain and is bulkier than necessary.  Nothing else is inside the package, no further information, no storage pouch, etc.  You can simply break down the package and dispose of as you typically would plastic items.

Tantus has so many gorgeous dildos that it’s difficult to keep track of them all.  This isn’t my first 02 item.  I received Max 02 which I reviewed back in November, and loved it enough that I just had to get my hands on another piece in the 02 line.

The whole look of the Cush 02 appealed to me; the subtle head, the gorgeous coloring, and the fact it was made from dual density silicone.  What made me a little hesitant at first, was the ridge in the middle of the shaft.  It looked a little extreme to me which was what turned me away from this dildo in the first place.  But the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to test my limits and see if I would enjoy it.

The first time I used the dildo, it took a minute to get used to the sensation.  Being that it’s a thicker toy, the ridge seemed to stick out and it felt a little odd.  As I picked up the pace, I started getting used to it and found it to be very stimulating.  The base of the head and ridge extend about the same amount from the toy, with a very slight dip between them.  Because the texture isn’t covering the entire toy, it’s much easier to focus on that one area.

Each time I use this dildo I find I need to ease into the sensation.  Sometimes I can pick up a toy and immediately thrust with vigor, but this toy takes more time.  It’s almost like making love to it rather than fucking (if that even makes sense).  Once I get used to the sensation I can go crazy with it, but I need to warm myself up first, otherwise it feels quite odd.

Overall, I really love this toy, and actually appreciate the fact I have to take my time with it.  Too often I find myself rushing to get off, so it’s nice to have a toy that forces me to spend a little time on myself.

  1. Great review as usual! I’m always amazed at how gorgeous the O2 toys are (at least the non-realistic ones). The fleshtone )+O2 toys creep me out a bit!

I do think it’s good that it makes you take your time!!! Sometimes long sessions where you have to go slow are soooo good.

  2. I have the purple Cush 02 I still have yet to use it I am kind of scared. I am glad you enjoyed using this toy. It is so beautiful.

  3. Hey, you got the Ice color! It is so pretty <3 I prefer slimmer toys, but I really enjoy working up to the Cush and clenching around it. Plus the weight is oddly comforting in use. Yum :) Glad you enjoyed it!

  4. That was an awesome review! I’ve always preferred toys that don’t look realistic for some reason. This one looks awesome.

  5. I need to get my hands on a Cush! I’m interested in trying out that ridge.

  6. This is such a beautiful toy. I’m always so glad when you can get a toy in something other than pink or purple. I’ve heard so many good things about it that I really want one. The dual density thing really interests me.

  7. As one of those individuals who IS turned off by the real thing, it’s really great that there are options available outside of that for dual densities. Been looking at the O2 line for a while and this is the first time I heard about the colors representing the softness and the firmness of the toy, which is actually really cool and makes me like it a little more than I had before.

(might be too big though, will look into the Flurry more)

  8. Gosh, this toy is pretty. I especially love that icy blue, and the idea of the 02 toys really appeals to me. But I’m glad you pointed out of the girth… With this one, I’m afraid my eyes are bigger than my vagina.
Maybe it’s something that I can work up to, though. It’s such a lovely design, and those squish pictures are really appealing!
