With so many external vibrators to choose from, how do you know which one is the right choice for you?  Many feature buzzy vibrations and have the same boring patterns as the next vibe.  If you’re looking for something different, the Limon might be just the thing!  Every time you turn the toy on, you’re able to create your own unique patterns and intensity levels simply by squeezing it!  Fortunately, you can create loops and lock your patterns so you don’t have to worry about your hand cramping half way through your session!  Choosing a unique vibe doesn’t mean you have to compromise in other ways.  The Limon is made from body safe materials, is rechargeable, waterproof, and compact.  It’s not quite as powerful as Ola (the first vibe Minna Life released), but it’s a fantastic option to look into!

Limon from Minna Life is a unique rechargeable vibrator that’s designed to provide you with a customized pleasure experience every time you turn it on.  This compact vibe was designed for external use and works well for those that appreciate both broad and targeted stimulation.  It can be used all over the body, but it’s especially fantastic for clitoral use and can even be used hands-free by holding your legs together.  Simply create your pattern, loop and lock it, and lay back and enjoy.

Thanks to the way this vibe functions, it’s extremely fun to use with a partner!  It’s easy to tease them by varying the intensity and the vibration patterns.  Add a blindfold to the mix, and it can really heighten your senses.  Run it along your partner’s belly, their thighs, and other erogenous areas of the body before taking them over the edge.  It’s a great tool for foreplay that makes it fun and exciting for everyone involved.

You can add this one to your list of bath time friends, because it’s waterproof!  The charging connections for this toy are completely external, so there’s no way for water to leak inside the toy; making it safe for tub/shower use and much easier to clean.

Limon is made from silicone (the area that comes in contact with your body most) and ABS plastic (the area of the toy that connects with the charging dock).  Both of these materials are body safe, non-porous, latex free, and phthalate free.  They’re great materials for sex toys because they’re so safe, easy to care for, and easy to clean.  For regular use you can clean with soap and water, but you can use a 10% bleach solution to sterilize.  Being made from silicone, it’s best to use water-based lubricant with this toy since silicone-based lube can cause the surface to degrade.

The surface of the silicone is quite smooth and glides easily across the skin.  It picks up small particles and lint, but it’s easy to wipe clean thanks to the type of silicone used.  There’s no texture to the toy apart from the charging area and power button, but there is a small seam that runs across the center of the toy.  You can lightly feel it with your fingers, but it’s not obvious during use.

Untitled-2The silicone acts as a skin for the toy, but unlike most, this vibe isn’t firm all the way around.  Two sides have plastic just below the surface and are firm, but the other two sides are soft.  These two areas are what controls the vibrations.  They’re filled with air and cause the toy to vibrate when it’s turned on and pressure is applied.  You don’t have to press very hard, so even someone with weak hands shouldn’t have a difficult time using this vibe.

The Limon was designed to look like a lemon or a lime, and cleverly, Minna Life chose to blend them together.  This fruit shaped vibe is available in pink and teal.  The teal is really beautiful and different from what you typically see as options for sex toys, which is something I can really appreciate.

The look of the vibe is fairly discreet, but it doesn’t exactly blend into its surroundings either.  Should someone stumble upon it, I don’t think they would automatically assume it was a vibrator, but I wouldn’t advice leaving it out unless you want someone asking questions.

The shape and size are very close to matching the actual fruits.  It’s an oval shaped toy, with a soft, rounded tip.  The end helps provide more targeted stimulation, while the sides of the toy work well for those who enjoy broad stimulation.  The fact that this isn’t a thin vibe makes it so much easier to hold.  It’s a common issue for users to experience some discomfort while using small clitoral vibes (due to arthritis, carpal tunnel, etc.), but that’s not an issue with the Limon.  It remains compact and travel friendly, but comfortable to hold.  It’s only 3″ in length, and is 6 3/8″ in circumference at the widest point.

Untitled-4The Limon is rechargeable and comes with a USB charging dock that the bottom of the toy nests in.  The bottom of the vibe needs to magnetically connect to the base in order to charge, so you’ll need to turn the toy until it’s attached.  The magnets aren’t very strong so if you lift the toy it will separate from the base, but since it’s designed to sit on a flat Untitled-3surface it’s not a huge deal.  Once connected and plugged in, the Limon will slowly flash on one side, and the word ‘Minna’ (with an exclamation point instead of an ‘i’) will illuminate through the silicone.  When it’s fully charged, the light will stop flashing and will glow steady, showing you it’s ready for use.

On the bottom of the toy you’ll see three metal circles.  Two connect with the charging dock, but the one in the center was designed to help pump up the toy should it feel deflated.  You simply take a ballpoint pen and press the metal piece in, making sure you’re not squeezing the sides at the same time.  This will allow air back into the toy, and make it easier to use.

There’s only one button on the toy, and it’s located toward the center of one side.  It’s a small circle that controls turning the toy on, creating loops, locking the loops, and turning the toy off.  It might sound complicated at first, but it’s really quite simple.

To turn the toy on, you hold the button down for a few seconds.  Limon will give you three short pulses and a little light will glow just below the button.  The vibrations won’t begin until you squeeze the toy.  If you want to play around with the patterns without having them cycle, this is all you need to do.  However, if you want to create a pattern that will cycle (or loop) you need to press the button again before creating your pattern.  A second press of the button will cause another small light to glow.  This one is a curved arrow showing that you’re in loop mode.  After you create your pattern, you simply stop squeezing the toy, it will pause a moment, and then your pattern will start cycling.  At any point during this setting you can squeeze the toy to create a new pattern, or you can press the button again to lock it.  A third press of the button will display a lock instead of the curved arrow, showing you that even if you squeeze the toy, the pattern is going to stay the same.  You can unlock the toy and go back to the regular mode by pressing the button a fourth time.  At any point you can turn the toy off by holding the button down for a few seconds.

The vibrations are deep and rumbly, and have enough power behind them (when fully squeezed) to please the average user, but might not quite be enough for a power queen.  The tip on the toy is where the vibrations are strongest, but they can be felt throughout the whole toy.  This might bother some as you can feel the vibrations in your hands, but it’s not enough to cause a numbing sensation.

The sound level is extremely modest.  No one would be able to hear through a closed door, and with a little white noise, someone could be in the same room with you and not have a clue what you’re doing.  It’s very quiet for a toy that has some power behind it.

The Limon arrives in a cylindrical cardboard box.  The outside features a full size image of the toy, has the company name, and includes some key points about the product.  It’s not discreet since it’s obvious what it contains, but it’s done in a fun and tasteful manner.  When you remove the cover, the Limon is already proudly on display; nestled in a piece of plastic that rests over the charger, storage pouch, and booklet.  The booklet contains all the information you need to know; how to use it, how to care for it, charging information, and touches on their 1 year warranty.  The storage pouch is grey and closes with drawstrings.  It’s fairly discreet, but has a tag on the outside that has the company name on it.

A couple months ago I had the pleasure of reviewing the Minna Life Ola, which was something I’d had my eye on for quite a while and ended up really enjoying.  When the Limon was released I was beyond excited.  My body responds best to external stimulation, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this cute and unique vibrator.

After charging the toy, I took some time messing around with it; creating as many different patterns as I could.  When I first turned it on, I immediately noticed it wasn’t quite as powerful as the Ola, which left me feeling a little disappointed.  It was nice and rumbly though, so I held onto hope that this would work well for me.

When it came time try it out, I found it to be really enjoyable.  Not as powerful as I’d like, but still very stimulating.  I loved how comfortable it was in my hands, and enjoyed the fact I could customize it to suit my specific needs for that session.  After a little while, I decided to see how it would work without the use of my hands.  I created a pattern I enjoyed, tucked the toy in place, and held my legs together.  This is one of my favorite ways to masturbate, and the Limon didn’t let me down.  I typically tuck my go-to vibe between my legs while pleasuring my husband because it frees up my hands, but this vibe works just as well.

Had it been a little more powerful, I would have been in love.  There are so many qualities about it I enjoy, I just wish it packed a little more punch.  I can get off using this vibe, but it takes longer than normal.  Sometimes I enjoy a slower build up, but when I really just need to get off in a hurry, this isn’t enough for me.

Even without it being over-the-top powerful, I think it’s a really fantastic vibe that’s worth checking out.  I prefer the Ola, even for external stimulation, but the size is perfect for traveling and takes up less storage space.

  1. These are so cute I am still up in the air on getting my hands one.

  2. Love the Teal colour! I have the pink one and my experience was very similar to yours. I like my vibes to pack a punch too, so I am now very curious about the Ola after reading your review on that one too! Thanks for the informative reviews Pops xx

  3. It’s teal. It’s rumbly. I want one even though the power won’t knock my socks off. Besides, it would make a great bath time toy!

  4. This is undoubtedly one of the cutest vibes around. Also one of the most unique. The number of good reviews I’ve seen of this kind of makes me want to try it out.
