-Overview-

Tantus equals quality.  When you purchase a product from Tantus, you can feel confident knowing it’s made from premium silicone that when properly cared for, can last a lifetime.  The Echo Vibrator is no exception.  The wonderful texture, the gorgeous color, and the reasonable size all make it a wonderful product to get your hands on.  The included bullet is removable which makes it easy to clean and care for.  Not to mention, if it’s not powerful enough you can easily switch it out for a different one.  Buy this one because of the design, not because of the power behind the included bullet.

-Intro/Use-

The Echo Vibrator from Tantus is a highly textured dildo with a bullet hole in the base.  The design allows it to be used in a wide variety of ways, making it a stimulating and versatile toy.

Best for vaginal use, the awesome texture and bulged head help heighten sensitivity and increase pleasure.  Even without an obvious curve the head of the toy should connect with the G-spot, though the texture alone is quite simulating even if it doesn’t.

At the bottom of the shaft you’ll find a nice, flared base.  This base makes it completely safe to use anally and allows it to fit securely in a harness.  So no matter what gender you are or what kind of relationship you’re in, there’s at least one way the Echo Vibrator can be used.

Since the bullet is removable, you can use the Echo as a dildo (without the bullet inserted) or a vibrator.  When the bullet isn’t inside the toy, you can use it on external areas of the body; clitoris, nipples, perineum, etc. or even use it on your partner.  It’s also waterproof thanks to the rubber o-ring around the base of the battery compartment, making it safe to use in the bath or shower.

-Material/Texture-

According to their website:

“Tantus uses a platinum based silicone, which is more expensive but also of a far superior, medical-grade quality. All Tantus toys are hypoallergenic, non-toxic and free of phthalates. They are also made to last a lifetime with minimal care. Silicone is odorless, boilable, bleachable and even dishwasher safe.”

Tantus takes a lot of pride in the quality of their silicone, and they have every reason to.  This material is safe, made to last, and easy to care for.  What more could you ask for?

Being made from silicone and ABS plastic (for the bullet) the Echo Vibrator is compatible with water-based lubricants only.  Sometimes silicone lubes and silicone toys don’t get along, and it’s best to stick with what you know is safe for your toy.

The surface of the Echo Vibrator is shiny and drags across the skin as a result.  Lubricant is required in order to help it glide easily, especially given the texture.  Along with the drag is a major lint issue.  It’s a challenge to keep the toy clean because it picks up particles instantly so always make sure you wash/wipe it down directly before Untitled-4use.

The silicone can be slightly squished in your hands, but remains fairly firm.  It’s firm enough that it will provide pressure where you need it, but not so firm that it causes a lot of discomfort.  This is especially important because of the texture.  If you used a glass or wooden toy that was shaped exactly the same way, it wouldn’t be as comfortable to use because the texture would feel exaggerated.  The shaft has some flexibility to it, most of which is present near the base because of the bullet hole.

The texture of the toy is very obvious.  There are a total of four Untitled-3ridges apart from the base of the head.  Starting on either side, they provide a wide, ribbed-like sensation during use.  The bottom is totally smooth, but sticks out a little from the toy; keeping your focus on the top and sides.  The Echo Vibrator is great for texture lovers, but as you can see it’s not the best choice for someone who prefers smooth toys.  Tantus has you covered there too, so check out their other vibrators and you’re bound to find one that suits your taste.

-Design/Size-

Untitled-5The Echo Vibrator is available in two color choices, Pearl White and Midnight Purple, or you can take your chances and select their Grab Bag.  The Grab Bag Echo is the same great toy at a much lower price, but you can’t select the color.  So if the idea of possibly getting a flesh tone Echo doesn’t bother you, it’s a much more budget friendly option (and you could end up with one in an awesome color!).

The Echo Vibrator is a great option if you love the way a cock head feels, but don’t like toys that look realistic.  The head is a familiar shape, but the shaft prevents it from looking like a penis.  Though it’s not realistic looking, it’s not discreet since it obviously looks like a sex toy.

Untitled-6The base of the toy is flat on the bottom, which allows it to stand on a flat surface.  In the center is the bullet hole which goes far enough into the dildo to hold the entire bullet.  The inside of the hole was designed to help you remove the bullet with ease.  Though it can take a minute to remove if you’ve pushed it all the way in, it doesn’t get stuck like some and doesn’t need to be lubricated.  When it’s in all the way, you want to press on either side of the base and use your other hand to grab the cap.  Once it starts to come out of the base, it’s much easier to pull out it the rest of the way.

The total size of the Echo Vibrator is 7″, and has an insertable length of 6″.  The girth of the toy is 4 1/2″ around the tip, 4 3/4″ around the bulge at the base of the head, and about 4 1/2″ for the shaft.  It’s a very manageable size, but feels larger because of the texture.  If you’re not used to penetration, this will likely be too large for you, especially given the texture, but Tantus has other options available that work well for a beginner.

-Functions/Controls-

The Echo Vibrator comes with a single functioning plastic silver bullet.  It’s not attached to the silicone in any way, which makes both pieces easier to clean.  While you can sterilize the silicone by boiling it or putting it in your dishwasher, the bullet can’t be.  You can use a 10% bleach solution or isopropyl alcohol to disinfect the bullet itself.

Untitled-7The included bullet takes three LR 44 watch batteries that are inside the bullet when it arrives.  There’s a small paper within that prevents the batteries from properly connecting and will need to be removed in order to turn it on.  When it’s time to replace the batteries, there’s a little paper inside the compartment that shows you how to insert them.  The bullet is a standard 5/8″ in diameter and has a rounded tip.  The opposite side has the battery cap and features the power button on the end.  The button turns the toy on and off, there are no setting to cycle through; there’s only one level of steady vibrations.

The vibrations are extremely weak and buzzy and don’t travel well through the silicone.  If you need even a little power to get off, this is not going to be enough for you.  Fortunately, the hole fits a standard bullet, so it can easily be replaced by something more powerful or with a variety of patterns.  Because it’s weak, it’s also very quiet.  You wouldn’t be able to hear it through a closed door, and it’s barely heard when you’re in the same room with someone.  Is lack of power a good trade for a quiet vibe?  I guess that’s up to you.

-Packaging-

The Echo Vibrator arrives in typical Tantus packaging.  The clear plastic box immediately gives away what the product contains, so it’s not discreet in that way.  It’s tasteful, having no naked images on the packaging, but the information would give it away if someone happened to see it in your recycle bin.  The toy doesn’t come with a pouch and the box doesn’t work well for storage.  Just make sure you keep it in a safe place where shape objects can’t damage the surface, and store it only with pure silicone toys.

-Experience-

I’ve been a lover of Tantus for a few years now and have the pleasure of owning several of their products.  I haven’t come across a single one that wasn’t well made and worth the investment.  The Echo Vibrator was one I had my eye on for a while, and it was well worth the wait.

Though it’s not as comfortable to use as the Echo Handle (for solo use), having the bullet hole really changes the way it preforms.  I enjoy the fact I can pop in my own bullet vibrator and enjoy the great texture with a little more power behind the vibrations.  The texture itself is very stimulating, and seemed to effortlessly connect with my G-spot, even without an obvious curve.  The ribbed sensation is amazing and really heightens sensitivity.

If you’re looking for a high quality silicone dildo that’s versatile and stimulating, this is a great one to consider!  You can find this, and other amazing Tantus products by clicking the banner below.

  1. I’m surprised you wanted to try this even though you have the Echo Handle. That’s high praise in and of itself :) I’m suprised at the bullet that came with it, I thought Tantus had switched over to the pointed bullet vibe with their logo on the side.

  2. I love this dildo! I love the texture! It’s the first dildo that hit my gspot so easily! Now you make me wonder how comfortable the Echo Handle is… I saw it once in a sex shop, and it looked HUGE and a bit intimidating for some reasons…I don’t think I would be able to hide the Echo Handle anywhere in my house lol. Great review!

  3. Glad you enjoyed using this one. I have wanted this one as well. I hope it is still around so I can pick it up.

  4. I trust Tantus and I like the looks of this vibe. I’m curious as to what the pearl white looks like. I am always looking for a toy to hit my g-spot which is seemingly impossible for me. I need toys on the smaller side but this doesn’t seem too big. Thanks for the review.
