-Overview-

The Sqweel Go is a compact and cute little toy that’s a bit different from the rest.  It’s not a vibrator like you would typically see, but features a spinning wheel of mini tongues.  While it’s better than the Sqweel 2, it’s not without its faults.  Being rechargeable and waterproof are wonderful qualities, and the sound level is quite reasonable as well, but it’s not quite strong enough for me.  When you take away the ability to apply solid pressure and need to use a second hand if you have a buried clit, it’s not nearly as enjoyable to use.  It’s great during foreplay and is suitable as a travel vibe, but I think there are much better options available.

-Intro/Use-

Sqweel Go from Lovehoney is product designed to simulate oral sex.  Rather than vibrating, the tongue covered wheel spins to provide a lapping sensation to the sensitive areas of your body.

Being an oral sex simulator, it’s best used on areas of the body where you would typically enjoy oral play; the clitoris, nipples, perineum, testicles, penis, etc.  It’s intended only for external use as insertion would not only be uncomfortable, but would be unsafe if you tried inserting it anally.

The Sqweel Go can be used with or without a partner, but I think it works best when used during foreplay.  It’s a great way to tease the nipples while your mouth is busy, and having two extra hands makes it easier to use if you need the labia spread to access the clitoris.

Being waterproof, it’s safe to use in and out of the tub and shower and is simple to clean as a result.  Since it’s so versatile, as well as compact, it’s a fantastic toy to take with you on the go.

-Material/Texture-

Sqweel Go is made from ABS plastic and silicone.  Both materials are body safe, non-porous, phthalate free, and latex free.  It can be cleaned using antibacterial soap and warm water, toy cleaners, or can be sterilized using a 10% bleach solution.  You can’t boil it or clean it in your dishwasher because of the internal parts, but using the bleach solution makes it safe to share.  Since the toy is made from silicone, it’s only compatible with water-based lubricants.  Other types would be compatible with the plastic area, but could cause the silicone areas to degrade so it’s best to use only water-based.

The plastic area of the toy is naturally very firm.  This part of the toy is what you would hold onto and isn’t what Untitled-2comes in contact with your body during use.  It doesn’t have any real texture to it and is very shiny.  If you happen to get lube on your hands during application it gets pretty slippery and challenging to hold onto.

The type of silicone the tongues are made from is matte and very smooth.  It doesn’t have an issue with collecting lint and a little lube goes a long way as a result.  This is the area that comes in contact with your body the most.  The tongues on the wheel are all very soft and pliable.  One of the things I was most concerned about when trying out the Sqweel 2 was whether or not the tongues would be soft enough.  Honestly, some might find them to be too soft.  They flex in either direction very easily, which prevents you from experiencing any discomfort, but also doesn’t allow you to provide much pressure.  Each tongue has a thin seam in the center of it which can be lightly felt with your hands, but not during use.

-Design/Size-

Untitled-6The Sqweel Go is available in three different color options; white, pink, and purple but the tongue color is pink on each.  It’s a pretty interesting shape that makes it easy to hold and use.  The rounded base fits comfortably in your hand while leaving the power button easily accessible.  Extended from the rounded area are two plastic arms which hold the wheel in place.  There’s no way for it to jam up or catch thanks to this design.  The tongues all have a slight upward curve to them which creates a more stimulating sensation, though they might look a little funny.

The overall design is pretty discreet and I could see someone assuming it was some sort of miniature fan before thinking it was a sex toy.  The size makes it easy to tuck away and keep out of sight.  It’s 3″ tall and only 1 3/4″ at the widest point.  It could easily fit into a purse or backpack and shouldn’t intimidate even those who are brand new to sex toys.

-Functions/Controls-

Untitled-5The Sqweel Go requires no batteries to function, instead its USB rechargeable.  When it first arrives it requires an initial charge.  The booklet states that you should charge it for two hours for up to one hour of use.  When I first charged it, it took closer to three hours, but held its charge really well.  When plugged in and connected to your computer or adaptor, a blue light surrounds the area letting you know it’s juicing up.  When the light turns off, you’re toy is ready to go!

The design of the charging port prevents any water from leaking inside the toy.  I thoroughly tested the toy underwater and found it to be sealed nicely and no water was exposed to the internal parts.

The power button is the pink silicone circle on the front of the toy.  It has a lightly textured surface and is raised from the plastic around it which makes it easy to locate and use.  There are three levels of power and three patterns to choose from.  The same light that glows when charging will come on during use and will turn off with the toy.  To turn the toy on, you press the power button once and it will take you to the first intensity level. Each press after that will take you to the next setting.  You can cycle through them in order to turn the toy off, or you can hold the button down for a few seconds.

They are:

  1. Low
  2. Medium
  3. High
  4. Light Shutters
  5. Pulsations
  6. Fast Licks

These settings aren’t like your typical vibrator.  Rather than vibrations, the levels refer to the speed of the spinning wheel.  It’s a very different sensation.  While it doesn’t feel like oral sex, there’s still something really nice about it.  The intensity isn’t that high, and because you can’t apply a lot of pressure it will work best for those that require a softer touch.  If you need pressure and power, this will only work for you as a teasing toy and might even frustrate if you don’t have something more powerful to build up to.

Another way it differs from a typical vibe is that you don’t experience the finger numbing sensations when holding it.  While you can feel it functioning through the base of the toy, it’s nothing that would irritate or annoy you.

The sound level is fairly modest.  Someone wouldn’t be able to hear you through a closed door, but would if they were in the same room with you.  When placed under water (in the bath, not shower), the sound level does decrease some, so keep that in mind.

-Packaging-

Untitled-1The package the Sqweel Go comes it looks very familiar if you’ve ever seen the Sqweel or Sqweel 2.  It’s mostly white and pink and is beyond obvious what the package contains.  Both front and back of the box have circular areas that are cut out, exposing the plastic contained toy within.  It proudly says ‘Rechargeable Oral Sex Massager’ on the front, so there’s really no denying what this is if someone were to come across it.  There’s some information on the side, but you can easily break it down and dispose of it as it’s not important to keep.

After opening the box, you’ll find the toy contained inside perfectly formed plastic that also houses the charging cord and the owner’s guide.  The guide provides the basic information and is shown in a variety of languages.  Unfortunately, no storage pouch is included, which is strange considering this is supposed to be designed for use on the go, but it will fit in any small storage pouch.

-Experience-

I tried to love the Sqweel 2 when I first tried it, but it was too awkward to hold onto, and just didn’t do much for me.  When I saw the release of Sqweel Go, I was really interested in how the product would work.  The design is more ergonomic, the tongues were more clit friendly (as far as sizing goes), and it was rechargeable.  I was excited to give it a ‘Go’ (did you see what I did there?).

It does have some awesome qualities and I think it’s a much better product than the one released before it.  I love how easy it is to hold, its much easier to connect with smaller areas of the body, and I don’t have to worry about batteries.  That being said, there’s no way this cute little thing could bring me to orgasm.

I don’t normally enjoy teasing toys, I’m more of a wham, bam, thank you ma’am kind of woman when it comes to masturbation, but I had fun with this.  It was a little annoying that I had to use two hands (one to spread my labia, one to hold the toy), but that could be fixed by having a willing partner or checking out other products designed to spread it for you.

I think it’s a good toy, best used for those that don’t need pressure or power, or would be great for couples’ looking for a little foreplay fun.  For me, being the power queen that I am, I felt pretty underwhelmed by it.  I do think it’s the best Sqweel product yet, but it still wasn’t quite right for me.

Just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t be perfect for you.  It has some wonderful qualities to it that make it an awesome product for the right person.

  1. Looks like we are both not fans on this toy when it comes to power. But everything else is awesome about it except for no storage pouch too. Which I did not even think of when doing my review.

  2. Too bad this toy didn’t work for you. It looks so cute and fun.

  3. I didn’t like the Sqweel 2, but was extremely interested in the Sqweel Go when it was released (a part of me rejoiced at the fact that the Sqweel Go can lick the envelops for me!). Now it just looks…eh. Apart from changing the AA batteries to now being rechargeable, the sensation seems to be similar. Well, it is cuter now lol.

  4. It’s so cute ^-^ I checked the reviews on the Lovehoney site and many people commented that the Go is the best Sqweel. I thought that was odd, so it’s comforting that you agree :)
