-Overview-

This clit clamp is quite simple, but absolutely beautiful thanks to the faceted beads that dangle from the bottom.  Being fully adjustable, it works well for a variety of clit sizes, and can fit your specific mood.  Whether you’re looking for a simple decoration, interested in gaining sensitivity, or you’re disparate for a powerful bite, this clamp does it all.  That being said, it’s far from being perfect.  The biggest issue is how challenging it can be to get it in place using only two hands.  With a partner, it’s easy, but sliding the bar while you’re trying not to clamp it too tight can be a painful and frustrating experience.  If you expect to typically have a hand getting it in place, this is an excellent piece, but if you expect to use it on your own, be prepared for a challenge.

-Intro/Use-

Beaded Tweezer Clit Clamp from Spartacus is designed to pinch or clamp down on your clit and other sensitive areas of your body.  Some will experience heightened sensitivity as a result, and that’s the primary goal of this clamp, but others might be looking for a more extreme sensation.  The bite is definitely worse than its bark when it comes to this piece, and it’s sure to satisfy those who need something more intense.

While the primary use for the clamp is on the clitoris, you can also use it on other areas of the body; the labia, Untitled-2scrotum, nipples, etc.  It’s small so works best on smaller areas, but use your imagination.

The sensation isn’t the only reason you can use this piece.  It’s can also be used to entice your partner.  While it doesn’t work well underneath clothing for long periods of time (due to the length), you could easily slip on some lingerie and the clamp, treating it like an accessory to your outfit.

In order to keep it in place, you have to adjust the clamp so that it’s fairly tight.  If the idea of discomfort to your clit sounds unappealing, this might not be the right product for you.  It can feel intense pretty fast if you’re not used to this kind of sensation.  It’s inexpensive enough that an adventurous beginner shouldn’t hold themselves back, but if you don’t like the idea of anything pinching your clit, you might want to find an alternative use or avoid it altogether.

-Material/Texture-

The Beaded Tweezer Clit Clamp is made from three different materials; rubber tips, metal tweezers, and plastic beads.  The website doesn’t specify what type of metal is used, so if you have certain sensitivities, make sure to discontinue use should an issue arise.  Each element is easy to clean and can be washed in warm water with antibacterial soap and towel dried.  To prevent the metal from rusting, make sure you thoroughly dry it after cleaning.  The rubber tips are removable, but since the material is porous, there isn’t a safe way to sterilize them for sharing.

Untitled-7The surface of both the rubber tips and metal tweezers aren’t textured.  The rubber does have some drag to it which is great in this case because it stays in place more easily and does offer some cushion, which is a good thing because the tip of the tweezers would be very extreme without it.  The beads themselves are faceted, but their texture doesn’t really effect how the product is used.

The design of the tweezers makes them easily pinch together and open up without worrying about the metal bending or anything getting damaged.  The flexibility and range of sizes makes it work for the majority of users.

-Design/Size-

Untitled-4 The Beaded Tweezer Clit Clamp is available in five color options (for the beads) and at least one should appeal to just about anyone.   The colors are red, pink, purple, blue, and black.  The metal is silver for each, other than the black beaded one which also has black painted metal.  There are a total of five beads on each clamp; a small clear one, two medium sized colored ones, a thin silver bead that separates the colored ones, and a black bead at the base.  The only change in the other options available are the colored ones themselves.

Untitled-3The way this clamp was designed makes it a one size fits most item.  Surrounding both sides of the tweezers is a little metal ring that slides toward the tip to clamp them down, and toward the bottom to open them up.  You can have it as tight as you’d like, but will fall off if you don’t have it tight enough.  When in your hands it’s quite simple to move the ring up and down, but can be a challenge when you’re trying to carefully clamp it onto your clitoris or other sensitive area of the body.  It’s much easier with a second set of hands, but is possible without them.

The overall look of the clamp isn’t aggressive.  It’s pretty cute and would easily blend in with other jewelry.  Not only that, but it’s super small so it doesn’t require much space and can easily be tucked away and out of sight.  It doesn’t come with storage apart from the package, but it’s not really necessary either.  Just store it in an area where it won’t be exposed to moisture or be roughed around or lost.

The full length of the piece is 4″, 2 3/4″ of that make up the tweezers alone.  The rubber tips cover 1/2″ of the metal and should be a comfortable length for most.  The clamp can be opened to 1/2″ which might not seem like a lot, but should accommodate most sizes, whether you’re already engorged or not.  It will close completely when the ring is pulled to the end.

-Packaging-

The Beaded Tweezer Clit Clamp arrives in a package that immediately gives away what it contains.  The front has a clear plastic window which displays the clamp within, and the text boldly states what it is.  When you open the box, a cardboard piece slides out.  The clamp is attached to a tab that extends from it simply by being clamped to it.  This should give you an idea of how tight it really can get.  The packaging doesn’t contain much information and none is included within, but it’s pretty self explanatory.  They did state on the package that the beads are glass, but that’s false.  Beautiful as they are, they’re clearly plastic.  The package isn’t great for long term storage, so you can break it down an dispose of it.

-Experience-

I’ve used a variety of nipple clamps and while they can also be used elsewhere, it’s something I’ve just never done. I’m not even sure why because I had a lot of interest in this clamp as soon as I saw it.  It was cute, I loved the faceted beads, and I was sure it would be really fun to use.

Well, I can say that they’re beautiful, but fun to use?  Not as much.

The first time I tried putting this on, I hurt myself.  I was trying to spread my labia to get to my clit, tried sliding the adjustable ring, things were slippery, and as you can imagine the results were not favorable.  When I finally had it in place, I was so uncomfortable I wanted to throw it across the room.  I knew it was my own fault, but how was I supposed to show off to my husband if I couldn’t put the darn thing on myself?

Having a hand does make it easier, but if your partner is the one adjusting it for you, don’t be surprised if they make it too loose/tight too.  If possible, have them spread your labia for you while you do the adjusting, everyone will be much happier that way.

When I was finally able to put it in place without wanting to throw the darn thing away, I wasn’t overly exciting about the sensation.  Clamping my clit is just not my thing.  I felt like it got in the way, didn’t heighten my sensitivity like I had hoped (could just be because I was a little scared after my first experience), and just wasn’t what I had hoped it would be.

It’s a fun little piece, but you have to be careful when you’re adjusting it.  If you’re experiencing pain (that you’re not trying for), stop using it.  Pay attention to the way your body is reacting and follow how you feel.  I was a total beginner with clit clamping and didn’t have the best experience, but yours may be different.  I think if I hadn’t hurt myself in the first place I would have ended up enjoying it more.  However, since my clit goes into hiding like a turtle in its shell when I even think about how this felt for me the first time, I won’t be using it again.  Use caution, if your clit isn’t easily exposed, get your partner to help you out.  It’s worth having the extra hands!

Untitled-1

-Overview-

The Sqweel Go is a compact and cute little toy that’s a bit different from the rest.  It’s not a vibrator like you would typically see, but features a spinning wheel of mini tongues.  While it’s better than the Sqweel 2, it’s not without its faults.  Being rechargeable and waterproof are wonderful qualities, and the sound level is quite reasonable as well, but it’s not quite strong enough for me.  When you take away the ability to apply solid pressure and need to use a second hand if you have a buried clit, it’s not nearly as enjoyable to use.  It’s great during foreplay and is suitable as a travel vibe, but I think there are much better options available.

-Intro/Use-

Sqweel Go from Lovehoney is product designed to simulate oral sex.  Rather than vibrating, the tongue covered wheel spins to provide a lapping sensation to the sensitive areas of your body.

Being an oral sex simulator, it’s best used on areas of the body where you would typically enjoy oral play; the clitoris, nipples, perineum, testicles, penis, etc.  It’s intended only for external use as insertion would not only be uncomfortable, but would be unsafe if you tried inserting it anally.

The Sqweel Go can be used with or without a partner, but I think it works best when used during foreplay.  It’s a great way to tease the nipples while your mouth is busy, and having two extra hands makes it easier to use if you need the labia spread to access the clitoris.

Being waterproof, it’s safe to use in and out of the tub and shower and is simple to clean as a result.  Since it’s so versatile, as well as compact, it’s a fantastic toy to take with you on the go.

-Material/Texture-

Sqweel Go is made from ABS plastic and silicone.  Both materials are body safe, non-porous, phthalate free, and latex free.  It can be cleaned using antibacterial soap and warm water, toy cleaners, or can be sterilized using a 10% bleach solution.  You can’t boil it or clean it in your dishwasher because of the internal parts, but using the bleach solution makes it safe to share.  Since the toy is made from silicone, it’s only compatible with water-based lubricants.  Other types would be compatible with the plastic area, but could cause the silicone areas to degrade so it’s best to use only water-based.

The plastic area of the toy is naturally very firm.  This part of the toy is what you would hold onto and isn’t what Untitled-2comes in contact with your body during use.  It doesn’t have any real texture to it and is very shiny.  If you happen to get lube on your hands during application it gets pretty slippery and challenging to hold onto.

The type of silicone the tongues are made from is matte and very smooth.  It doesn’t have an issue with collecting lint and a little lube goes a long way as a result.  This is the area that comes in contact with your body the most.  The tongues on the wheel are all very soft and pliable.  One of the things I was most concerned about when trying out the Sqweel 2 was whether or not the tongues would be soft enough.  Honestly, some might find them to be too soft.  They flex in either direction very easily, which prevents you from experiencing any discomfort, but also doesn’t allow you to provide much pressure.  Each tongue has a thin seam in the center of it which can be lightly felt with your hands, but not during use.

-Design/Size-

Untitled-6The Sqweel Go is available in three different color options; white, pink, and purple but the tongue color is pink on each.  It’s a pretty interesting shape that makes it easy to hold and use.  The rounded base fits comfortably in your hand while leaving the power button easily accessible.  Extended from the rounded area are two plastic arms which hold the wheel in place.  There’s no way for it to jam up or catch thanks to this design.  The tongues all have a slight upward curve to them which creates a more stimulating sensation, though they might look a little funny.

The overall design is pretty discreet and I could see someone assuming it was some sort of miniature fan before thinking it was a sex toy.  The size makes it easy to tuck away and keep out of sight.  It’s 3″ tall and only 1 3/4″ at the widest point.  It could easily fit into a purse or backpack and shouldn’t intimidate even those who are brand new to sex toys.

Untitled-7

-Functions/Controls-

Untitled-5The Sqweel Go requires no batteries to function, instead its USB rechargeable.  When it first arrives it requires an initial charge.  The booklet states that you should charge it for two hours for up to one hour of use.  When I first charged it, it took closer to three hours, but held its charge really well.  When plugged in and connected to your computer or adaptor, a blue light surrounds the area letting you know it’s juicing up.  When the light turns off, you’re toy is ready to go!

The design of the charging port prevents any water from leaking inside the toy.  I thoroughly tested the toy underwater and found it to be sealed nicely and no water was exposed to the internal parts.

The power button is the pink silicone circle on the front of the toy.  It has a lightly textured surface and is raised from the plastic around it which makes it easy to locate and use.  There are three levels of power and three patterns to choose from.  The same light that glows when charging will come on during use and will turn off with the toy.  To turn the toy on, you press the power button once and it will take you to the first intensity level. Each press after that will take you to the next setting.  You can cycle through them in order to turn the toy off, or you can hold the button down for a few seconds.

They are:

  1. Low
  2. Medium
  3. High
  4. Light Shutters
  5. Pulsations
  6. Fast Licks

These settings aren’t like your typical vibrator.  Rather than vibrations, the levels refer to the speed of the spinning wheel.  It’s a very different sensation.  While it doesn’t feel like oral sex, there’s still something really nice about it.  The intensity isn’t that high, and because you can’t apply a lot of pressure it will work best for those that require a softer touch.  If you need pressure and power, this will only work for you as a teasing toy and might even frustrate if you don’t have something more powerful to build up to.

Another way it differs from a typical vibe is that you don’t experience the finger numbing sensations when holding it.  While you can feel it functioning through the base of the toy, it’s nothing that would irritate or annoy you.

The sound level is fairly modest.  Someone wouldn’t be able to hear you through a closed door, but would if they were in the same room with you.  When placed under water (in the bath, not shower), the sound level does decrease some, so keep that in mind.

-Packaging-

Untitled-1The package the Sqweel Go comes it looks very familiar if you’ve ever seen the Sqweel or Sqweel 2.  It’s mostly white and pink and is beyond obvious what the package contains.  Both front and back of the box have circular areas that are cut out, exposing the plastic contained toy within.  It proudly says ‘Rechargeable Oral Sex Massager’ on the front, so there’s really no denying what this is if someone were to come across it.  There’s some information on the side, but you can easily break it down and dispose of it as it’s not important to keep.

After opening the box, you’ll find the toy contained inside perfectly formed plastic that also houses the charging cord and the owner’s guide.  The guide provides the basic information and is shown in a variety of languages.  Unfortunately, no storage pouch is included, which is strange considering this is supposed to be designed for use on the go, but it will fit in any small storage pouch.

-Experience-

I tried to love the Sqweel 2 when I first tried it, but it was too awkward to hold onto, and just didn’t do much for me.  When I saw the release of Sqweel Go, I was really interested in how the product would work.  The design is more ergonomic, the tongues were more clit friendly (as far as sizing goes), and it was rechargeable.  I was excited to give it a ‘Go’ (did you see what I did there?).

It does have some awesome qualities and I think it’s a much better product than the one released before it.  I love how easy it is to hold, its much easier to connect with smaller areas of the body, and I don’t have to worry about batteries.  That being said, there’s no way this cute little thing could bring me to orgasm.

I don’t normally enjoy teasing toys, I’m more of a wham, bam, thank you ma’am kind of woman when it comes to masturbation, but I had fun with this.  It was a little annoying that I had to use two hands (one to spread my labia, one to hold the toy), but that could be fixed by having a willing partner or checking out other products designed to spread it for you.

I think it’s a good toy, best used for those that don’t need pressure or power, or would be great for couples’ looking for a little foreplay fun.  For me, being the power queen that I am, I felt pretty underwhelmed by it.  I do think it’s the best Sqweel product yet, but it still wasn’t quite right for me.

Just because it didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t be perfect for you.  It has some wonderful qualities to it that make it an awesome product for the right person.
