-Overview-
If you’re looking for a sexy new scent to wear for special occasions, this might be right up your alley. The bottles are nicely sized for travel and can be used individually or together for a nice, layered scent. The reason why I say it’s best for occasional use is because the bottles are small and won’t last very long (especially if you use the scrub and body butter over your entire body). There are a lot of good things about each, but they have faults too. The scrub doesn’t exfoliate, the body butter shimmers, and the ingredients aren’t listed on the bottles themselves. I really love the scent of each, but think it’s expensive for what you receive.
-What’s Included-
This set includes three different products – a body scrub, a body butter, and a perfume oil. They can be used separately, but create a sexy layered scent when used together. Make sure to look over the ingredients prior to purchasing and discontinue use if you have a reaction.
Scrub – Pink Caviar Scrub with Pheromones (2 fl oz)
A light raspberry lemon scented souffle that buffs and brightens your curves to a smooth finish.
Exfoliate: Caviar Infused Beads
Hydrate: Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter
Attract: Pheromones
Antioxidant: Grape Seed and Soy
Ingredients:
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sucrose, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetyl Alcohol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil, PEG-30 Glyceryl Cocoate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caviar Extract, PVP/VA Copolymer, Mica, Benzophenone-2, Androstadienone, Estratetraenol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Limonene, Linalool, Red 33 (CI 17200), Yellow 5 (CI 19140)
The scrub is designed to be used on damp skin, and will need to be rinsed off. When you’re finished showering, step away (or turn off) the running water, squeeze out the scrub, and rub it over your body. The gritty feeling of the beads doesn’t last long at all, so it’s not very exfoliating, but does leave your skin smelling nice and feeling soft. When the gritty feeling is totally gone, you simply rinse off your body and you’re finished.
The scent is very obvious when you’re using it, but mellows out nicely once you’re all rinsed off. Both the raspberry and lemon scents can be picked up, but they aren’t overpowering. It’s a light scent that’s fun and flirty. When I used the scrub alone, I found it could still lightly be smelled in my skin after a few hours, but you had to be really close to pick up on it. After about six hours, the scent couldn’t be detected. Your experience may differ from mine.
The scrub is a little difficult to squeeze out of the tube because it’s so thick but spreads easily. It’s gritty feeling at first, but evens out into a smooth, oily substance as the exfoliating beads break down.
Soften – Luminizing Body Butter with Pheromones (2 fl oz)
A luscious blackberry and honey scented cream blended with rich oils leaves your skin feeling young and supple.
Moisturize: Brazilian Murumuru and Cupuacu butters
Glow: Pure Pearl Pigment
Attract: Pheromones
Antioxidant: Cranberry and Acai Extracts
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-100 Stearate, Glycol Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Triethanolamine, Neopentyl Glycol, Diheptanoate, Isododecane, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil, Carthamus, Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower, Andresyl, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter, Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Natamycin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Benzoate, Eugenol, Cinnamal, Red 40 (CI16035), Red 33 (CI 1720)
The body butter can be used any time of the day, but will work best on clean skin (even more if you’ve already used the scrub). You simply rub it into your skin as you would any lotion or body butter. It’s very smooth and spreads easily. At first it feels a little heavy on the skin, but after a few minutes it absorbs and feels more natural. My skin felt nice and soft after using the butter, but this shouldn’t be the first product to use if you’re looking for something specifically for dry skin.
Unlike the scrub, it’s a little harder to pick up the blackberry and honey that this one is supposed to smell like. It has a very moody smell to it, and reminds me more of a dark floral scent. It’s still very attractive, but seems like something you’d put on before going out for the night, not so much for running errands during the day. When used along with the scrub the scent evens out a little and would be fine to use on a daily basis.
When used alone, I could smell the body butter for a long time after applied. After several hours you could still smell it lightly on my skin, but again, you would need to be very close to me. When I used it with the scrub, I could still pick up on both after the same amount of time, but I didn’t notice the butter lasting longer when paired together. I found reapplying the butter after a few hours worked the best, but your personal experience will vary.
Once the butter is applied to your skin, you’ll see it has a glittery sheen. It’s not glitter, exactly, but it will make your skin shimmer slightly. It’s not enough that it looks like you’re trying to be a teenager again, but it’s enough to catch your eye in the right lighting.
Seduce – Perfume Oil with Pheromones (.33 fl oz)
An exotic fruity and floral fragrance guaranteed to give you sexy self confidence and get you flirty attention.
Scent: Creamy Floral
Notes: Plum, Raspberry, Jasmine, Cedar, and Sandalwood
Attract: Pheromones
Oil: Jojoba Oil
Ingredients:
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Silica, Androstadienone, Estratetraenol, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Benzoate, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Geraniol
The oil is supposed to be the final touch when using this set, but can certainly be used alone. Being an oil, it naturally can’t be squeezed out into your hand and rubbed in. Instead, the glass container has a ball on the tip that’s rolled across the skin for application. The oil feels very wet and slick at first, but doesn’t take long to absorb into the skin.
This scent is the strongest of the three, and has a warm floral smell to it. I can’t pick up on all the scents stated, but I can smell some light sandalwood, the jasmine, and vanilla (though it’s not stated). After wearing for about thirty minutes it levels out nicely and shouldn’t be overpowering to anyone.
Using the oil on its own, you can expect to still smell it after several hours, but I feel it works and smells best when used along with the butter and scrub. All the scents compliment each other really well, being different enough that they stand out individually, but similar enough that it creates a beautifully layered scent.
-Comparison-
Each of the pieces in this kit work in different ways, have different scents, and have different textures. The scrub is hardest to get out of the bottle since it’s so thick and dry. It would have been nice to see this in a small tub with a screw off lid rather than the container it comes in. The butter is thick, but is smooth and creamy and easily squeezes out of the bottle. The ball on the end of the oil roller can sometimes get a little stuck, but works really well in general. Since there’s nothing textured in the oil, it comes out quite easily. You can’t squeeze the bottle since it’s made from glass, so you have to put the ball to your skin in order to apply.
-Packaging-
The Flirty Little Favorites Kit comes in a silver box with a clear window in the front. The package is attractive looking and would make a suitable gift for a close friend or lover. It’s clearly an adult product when you read about it containing pheromones and how you’ll be irresistible to the opposite gender, but it doesn’t seem sexual in nature apart from the information. The back of the box contains information on the scents, and the bottom is the only location you’ll find the ingredients. The bottles themselves don’t have this information on them, which is odd.
Two of the bottles are plastic and you need to squeeze them in order to dispense the product. The tops of these bottles are pink and have lids that pop up easily. The oil is in a glass container and has a plastic cover that screws off before you can apply. All three containers are suitable for travel and easily fit inside a purse or suitcase without taking up too much room.
-Experience-
I don’t typically stray from my preferred body care products, but every once in a while I get the itch to try out something new. I love getting sets that allow me to use something in the shower, and follow up with a lotion or perfume. When I saw this set, I figured it was worth checking out.
I really like the scents. They’re not overly floral, but I also don’t smell like I’m a child trying to be an adult. I felt like they were fitting for my age and that was something I could really appreciate. Nothing is worse than smelling like an old lady or a child when you’re in your 20′s.
The scrub was my least favorite part of this set. Though I love the smell, the beads didn’t scrub my skin the way I had expected. When I use a scrub, I expect the gritty texture to last a least a couple minutes, the beads in this one didn’t even last 30 seconds. It’s difficult to exfoliate with something that’s not scrubbing your skin.
Apart from that not working, I really enjoyed the set. I love how they can naturally be layered together, or I can just roll on the oil if I’m in a hurry. It’s a good set, but it’s an expensive one. Had the bottle each been 4 fl oz instead of 2, I feel like it would have been worth the cost. It’s great for special occasions, but too expensive to replace my regular scents.
